I discovered Yoga about 5 years ago and never stopped. I couldn’t do much when I started, so I celebrated every progress, the smaller it was. To see that I was slowly improving was an amazing reward. Today I think of yoga as a tool to be happier and healthier (mentally, emotionally, physically). It gives me the opportunity to accept who I am for who I am, and to be happy and grateful.
CrossFit came about 3 years later. I wanted to get stronger to be able to do postures in Yoga I couldn’t do. And who would’ve thought that I would love it as much as I love Yoga? CrossFit gave me something that I never had before: to enjoy exercising. It gives me the strength I’ve always wanted, but it also helps me understand my body, my mind’s limitations, and work to be better.
That’s why, to me, CrossFit and Yoga are a perfect match. I can work mobility, flexibility and mindfulness with Yoga, and CrossFit gives me the strength and a lot of challenges. One makes me better at the other and that’s the amazing part of the combination.
My goal is to use Yoga to help people feel more connected with their bodies and to improve their mobility and flexibility.
